Finally a cafe at my mother’s hometown. First of its kind in the area where the cafe occupies the lower portion of a Spanish house. Upon entering the compound, lush greens will welcome you. Culture and great food meets in a place where everyone is already at home as early as 7pm. Baao is a place where you want to feel the probinsya vibes. It’s my second home, where my mom grew up and still a lot of my relatives are still living there.
BidiBidi cafe is located at San Nicolas,Baao, Camarines Sur. The multi-awarded Bernadette ‘Bidi Bidi’ de los Santos opened her ancestral house to the public and made it to be one of the municipalities “It” hub for both young and young at heart.
Full of painting, collections of antiques and embroidered crafts made my local women of Baao. All out feels is that your in a creative space where you can just appreciate the simple life.
Bidi Bidi also owns La Huerta Farms where she grows organic vegetables. So expect that all meals are fresh from the farm or from a local farmer in the area.
Pasta offerings are Laing Pasta, Bicol Express Pasta and Banana Blossom Spaghetti, all sided with thinly-sliced fried bananas
One of my favorite is the Banana Blossom Spaghetti. A Hard boiled egg is wrapped in a crispy banana blossom ball with a spaghetti sauce.
They also offer Banana Blossom Burgers! Kamote Fries is also a must.
Cold drinks are also available some of the best sellers are Iced Tabrilla and Iced Latte.
Overall I love the place. I will be here when I visit my relatives in Baao. It’s a nice place to just catch up with friends and relatives. Oops! Forgot to mention the cafe is Pet friendly! If your lucky you might meet the owner’s fluffy companions. Plus the owner is very kind!
